Checking this list the night before the event and again before departing from home should be a part of your pre-race ritual.
- League Number Plate (you will receive at the first race)
- Forms signed by parents (if needed)
- Driving directions to the race (don't assume someone else has them)
- Cycling Shoes
- Cycling Socks
- Helmet
- Eyewear / Sunglasses (with multiple lenses for different conditions)
- Shorts
- Race Bibs
- Short Sleeve Jersey
- Leg Warmers
- Knee Warmers
- Arm Warmers
- Windbreaker
- Raincoat
- Short Finger Gloves
- Long Finger Gloves
- Pre/Post Ride Clothing (Woodcreek MTB Logo'd)
- Sun Block
- Full Water Bottles/CamelBak (fill it up at home)
- Multitool (has the basic allen keys, a screwdriver, and spoke wrench)
- Chain Breaker (don't let a broken chain stop you from finishing the race)
- Spare tube and pump/air (race ready to fix your own flat)
- Towels (good for cleaning up afterwards or for protecting the car seats)
- Small Tarp (or similar, for placing under the bike in the hotel room)
- Plastic bag to put dirty/wet clothes into for the drive home (esp. for places with Poison Oak/Ivy)
- Energy bars, Gu, Bloks, etc. (extra in case the race is late, longer, or further from food than expected)
- Poison Oak/Ivy prevention and/or treatment (Teknu)
- A jug of water is also great for washing after the race!
- Garden Hose, Soap, Sponges and other cleaning tools to wash your bike after the pre-ride. Don't take your bike into the hotel room dirty.
- Shoe Dryer - If your shoes get wet on the pre-ride, they will still be wet the next morning.
- COFFEE
- Chairs to sit on while waiting to watch your kid come around so you can cheer for 10 seconds per kid
- Cow Bell - So the kids can hear you cheer. "Go Woodcreek"
